Operators who happen to ship AI.

Hexaxia AI is the AI division of Hexaxia Group. Not an agency, not a research lab, not a consultancy. We run AI-native, productize what proves itself, and fill the Fractional CAIO seat for teams that need executive guidance without the full-time hire.

01 / How this started

It started as tools we built for ourselves.

Origin

Hexaxia AI did not start as a plan to sell AI. It started as tools. We were running the MSP, there were gaps the off-the-shelf software never filled, so we built our own. Then the creative side kept going.

Hextant began as a single agent to help with marketing. We kept building it out and it turned into something bigger: a virtual C-Suite that other operators could use too. The same thing happened across the stack. Each product solved something we needed before it was ever offered to anyone else.

The more AI evolves, the more the lines blur between markets. Building AI products stopped being a side effect of running the MSP and became its own discipline, so we made it its own division. Hexaxia AI is where the tools we built for ourselves become products, run on the same rule as everything else: it earns its place, or it does not ship.

02 / Why we built it this way

AI shifts value from labor to cognition.

Thesis

The org charts built around hierarchy and ownership were built for an economy where labor was the bottleneck. As work moves from labor to cognition, those structures stop fitting the problem. Ethics needs velocity. Innovation needs accountability. IP needs protection that does not slow the team down. Mission needs to scale with the work.

Hexaxia AI exists because shipping AI seriously means answering all of those at once. Products that earn their place. Engagements that name the human in the seat. A governance substrate that is written down before it gets used. We did not invent this need. We are organizing around it.

03 / Principles

Five rules we run on.

These are not slogans. Every product, engagement, and internal decision answers to one of these. If a piece of work cannot point at one, we do not ship it.

  • 01

    Operators not magicians.

The work matters more than the demo. We use AI to remove busywork that real teams actually hit, not to perform sophistication.

  • 02

    Tool, not a crutch.

The agent should make the operator smarter, not dependent. AI that educates while it automates. If the human cannot do the work without the agent, we have built it wrong.

  • 03

Use it before we sell it.

Every Hexaxia AI product gets run internally before it ever ships to a client. The substrate behind your product is the substrate behind our day.

  • 04

    Simpler, stronger, more capable.

The Group mission. Every product, every engagement, every line of code answers to it. Without anything you do not need.

  • 05

    Help people do better.

Technology should help people be better and do better. We will not build anything that negatively impacts the people it touches. The point is to lift people, not to replace them.

04 / How we govern

We wrote down the rules we run by.

Three proprietary frameworks define how our agents operate. AGF, the Agent Governance Framework, covers what agents can and cannot do: authorization, safety, audit, compliance, lifecycle, escalation. APF, the Agentic Protocol Framework, covers how they behave: ten operational protocols that prevent the failure modes that wreck production AI. ASIP, the Agent Self-Improvement Protocol, covers how they change: every update is proposed by the agent, reviewed by a human, and recorded. No silent drift.

All three are the substrate behind Hextant and every Fractional CAIO engagement. They are not slide decks. They are written, numbered, citable documents your team sees in detail during onboarding.

We do not let agents run unsupervised. That is the point of the frameworks. Autonomy is the destination, but the training wheels stay on until the system earns them, and a human keeps watching even after. Where the work demands it, the agents run private and hardened.

05 / The team

Who do you actually work with?

Hexaxia AI is small on purpose. Two founders, named principals, no offshore middle layer. Engagements run through the people whose names are on the page.

  • Co-founder

    Aaron Lamb

Systems, operations, AI infrastructure. Named Fractional CAIO principal.

Career spent running operations and shipping infrastructure. Builds the tools we ship and runs the Fractional CAIO engagements. Direct. The "how" side of the founder duo.

  • Co-founder

    Jay Carney

Leadership, culture, the human side of AI adoption.

The "why" behind what we do. Grounds every engagement in what the client is actually trying to build, not just the deliverable. Leads with empathy without losing the edge.

06 / Where to go next

Part of Hexaxia Group.

Hexaxia AI is one division. The Group also includes Hexaxia Technologies (managed IT and systems engineering), Hexaxia Consulting (business strategy for founder-operators), Hexaxia Media (media production), and Hexaxia Labs (the open source arm). Each division stands on its own. They reinforce each other.
